Saludos! I grew up in Brighton, Colorado. That is about 45 minutes away from Greeley. I went to school with roughly the same group of students at three different stages (elementary, middle school, high school). My family is originally from Mexico and Spanish is my first language! I am a first-generation student, and I am a proud alumnus of the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Musical Theater. 

In my time as a student at UNC I found an incredibly supportive community of peers, staff and faculty. I had the opportunity to start a student group with my best friends and find other career interests with my student employment as an ambassador in the admissions office. I have now had the pleasure of serving as an admissions counselor since 2021, in addition to serving in leadership positions. In my free time I love reading plays, watching movies and dancing!   

Favorite place at UNC: I have found so much peace hammocking out by Cranford Park. The trees are the perfect size/distance to position your hammock to catch the sunset’s rays, maybe read a good book. A great space to invite your friends for some ultimate frisbee. 

Favorite place in Greeley:  Other than exploring downtown, I really enjoy going on walks around Glenmere Park. The small lake there brings a cool variety of wildlife and the energy most of the time feels serene.

Favorite Fictional Bear: Winnie the Pooh, the ultimate Zen king.
