Background: I was born in Wichita, Kansas and grew up outside of Houston, Texas. I graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a certificate in Professional Strategic Selling, and worked as a student in the Division of Communications and Marketing. This experience sparked my passion for higher education and helped lead me to where I am now working in admissions. I find it fulfilling to work with and help guide prospective graduate students through their personal and professional journeys here at UNC. Outside of work, I am a diehard Houston sports fan and love to spend time outdoors (one of the best perks about living in Colorado). I also enjoy spending time with animals, in particular my three-year-old cat Percy.
Favorite place at UNC: The 14-hole disc golf course we have on campus. It’s an awesome way to spend a nice day outside, while getting to take in the beautiful scenery that is our campus.
Favorite place in Greeley: I love La Petite French Bakery here in Greeley. There’s nothing better than starting your day with one of their croissants or pastries.
Favorite UNC fact: Prior to adopting the Bear as mascot in 1923, UNC sports teams were known as “The Teachers,” paying homage to UNC’s long history as a teacher education institution.
Favorite Fictional Bear: Has to be Po from Kung Fu Panda. He is a great reminder that no matter how uphill the climb may seem, you should always follow your passions and try to be the best version of yourself. Also, I wish I could cook as well as he can.
