Background: I was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil and I have been in the US for nine years. My journey began as an exchange student in New York City in 2014, where I was captivated by the rich diversity around me. This exposure ignited my passion for higher education. I continued my pursuit in Iowa, earning an associate degree from the Northeast Iowa Area Community College before transferring to Upper Iowa University, where I earned my bachelor's in Agricultural Business and MBA degrees. Working in admissions is my true calling, I find immense joy in helping international students initiate their educational journey in the US, as it mirrors my own. It's incredibly rewarding to know I can make a difference in their lives. I'm equally dedicated to assisting domestic students. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking/being outdoors, watching movies, staying active through exercise, and playing soccer. My fascination with technology and video games keeps my mind engaged, but nothing beats the moments I spend with my family in Brazil whenever the opportunity arises.
Favorite place at UNC: Gunter Hall because of it's rich history as one of UNC's oldest buildings. Its historic charm and Its modified Cathedral Gothic style architecture can make it a favorite spot for those who appreciate the university's heritage.
Favorite place in Greeley: I love Greeley's Poudre River Trail because it's a peaceful escape for outdoor activities, perfect for biking, walking, and birdwatching along the Cache la Poudre River.
Favorite UNC fact: UNC shines as an emerging Hispanic Serving Institution, with over 40% of its undergraduates proudly being first-generation college students. I think this diversity and commitment to education make UNC an inclusive and innovative campus community.
Favorite Fictional Bear: Lotso from "Toy Story 3" because while not a traditional hero, Lotso is a complex and intriguing character. He serves as a reminder that appearances can be deceiving, and people (or bears) can change.
